CHARACTER INFORMATION
NAME: Anna Bernadotte, Princess of Arendelle
CANON: Frozen
CANON POINT: post-"Love Is An Open Door" (in theory?)
CHARACTER AGE: 18 years old
HISTORY: This is the canon history, but the AU diverges quite a bit.
Anna's universe is set in the modern day, and she's a scion-- a demigod that has been enlisted to fight in a war for their divine parents. The gods, regardless of their pantheons, are all fighting against the Titans, and their children, the Titanspawn. Her father was King Adgar, but her mother was the norse goddess Sif. When she learned of her powers, and her heritage, she agreed to fight alongside other scions. (Possibilities in this world are individuals like Merida, Aladdin, and of course, Hercules.)
Her relationship with Elsa is not nearly as strained, considering they both have powers, and they both had to learn how to, at the very least, manage them. Elsa's, of course, were ice and air based. Anna's were based in earth. When they were young, there was an accident (or, specifically, The Accident) that isolated the sisters for a few years, but the manifestation of Anna's own powers a few years later stopped that lifestyle quickly.
Most of Titanspawn activity happens in large cities-- the most active being New York City. (Everything always happens in NYC...) King Adgar and Queen Idun were more than reluctant to let their children go, but Frigg and Sif-- Elsa and Anna's mothers, respectively-- were insistent that their heirs go and fight, or at least be close at hand to help. Considering that many scions and Titanspawn had converged in the city, it was only logical to bring more people to help.
Anna and Elsa are both princesses of Arendelle, a small country nestled on the coast between Norway and Sweden. It's like the Monaco of Scandinavia, but a little bit bigger. Neither of them have given up their claim to the throne in light of them being demi-gods, even though there may be a more divine calling for them rather than them running a nation in their father's place. In this universe, there is someone who has mostly given up his claim to the throne, and is allied with Anna and Elsa-- Prince Hans. He's also a scion, whose father is Loki. Like in the movie, Anna is absolutely infatuated with Hans, Elsa is a bit wary of him, and Hans appears to be infatuated with Anna as well. (Is he really? It Is A Mystery.) At the very least, the three of them work together to fight against the Titanspawn in the name of Mankind.
(more information about the world of Scion, should it be needed, can be found here.)
PERSONALITY: Anna is a vibrant young lady, full of energy and enthusiasm. She bodly rushes forth into anything, may it be love, adventure, or just life in general. After being kept relatively isolated inside a palace for so long, her lust for adventure and life bursts from her. She wishes to meet new people, she wants to fall in love; as she says herself, she "likes fast!" Anna is ready for whatever comes her way, and bravely faces it.
Her bravery isn't a front, though. She truly has a hero's heart, and is willing to do anything for those she cares about. Her sister means the world to her, and she faces a freak winter, wolves, a mountain, a snow behemoth, her heart freezing, and her own death to protect Elsa. Her only contact (supposedly) for ten years was her own family and few servants, and with her parents dead, all she has is a sister that shut her out. Still, Anna will go to the ends of the earth for the people she truly loves. After all, love is putting someone else's needs before your own, as Olaf so wisely puts it.
She is gutsy, yes, as one would be when they throw a snowball at a giant snow monster, but more than that, she is kind. She is a princess with a gentle heart. She's a bit self-absorbed and a little bit selfish, not exactly focusing on too much outside of her immediate surroundings. She is a princess, though-- one kept in isolation. Anna has not the experience to handle people particularly well. Still, that doesn't cloud her caring. She looks out for her sister as best as she can, she is gentle with Olaf when trying to introduce herself, is genuinely concerned about Kristoff when he's hurt. She cares about her people, and leaves them in what she believes are capable hands. She does what she can to stop the winter for them, and to save someone worth saving.
One of Anna's most highlighted traits is her perceived awkwardness. She is a teenage girl, princess or not. She's a chatterbox, she's not too good with people, she doesn't know how to handle her sister, she has klutzy moments. She's a mess of a girl. But she's not necessarily completely awkward. She's a young woman finding her own footing, trying to make sense of feelings and her own limbs. Anna is excitable and sometimes gets ahead of herself, but with time comes grace. Currently, she can be as quirky as she pleases.
In the Scion AU, not much has changed. She still talks incessantly, and her bravery hasn't changed. She's marginally better with people, and isn't so selfish, but she's a bit more reliant on Elsa (and Hans. And the other scions of the city, for that matter.) Anna will still fight for whatever she holds dear, even if it's not the brightest idea.
ABILITIES: In canon, Anna's powers are very much human. Her abilities come from a royal upbringing, like confidence in the face of her people, and bravery for the sake of what she loves.
In the AU, her powers are earth based: She can control plants to an extent, and can speak to them and hold riveting conversations with them. Anna can also create small earthquakes in short distances. Currently, her powers aren't exactly strong and controlled, but the more she uses them, the more finessed they'll be.
Also she's homies with the goddess Sif, so ??? does that count.
SINS & VIRTUES: Sins: Lust, Gluttony

SAMPLES
Sample I: thread located here.
Sample II: She'd seen palaces, grandeur, luxury at its most decadent, but there was something... different about the manor. There was a magic to it that even she hadn't experienced. With wide eyes, Anna placed her hand on a banister, slowly ascending the stairs as she took in everything around her. This is where she was going to live?! How lucky could a girl get? New York City was so modern, and Arendelle was so traditional... This house was neither here nor there. It was something all its own.
The princess tried to note every little detail so that when she was able to see Elsa again, she could tell her what a wonderful place she was in. She'd say how tall and bright the windows were, and how the sun felt on her skin. She'd tell her about the long hallways she wanted to slide down, and the races they could have down them. She'd mention how beautiful her room was, and that it was big enough for sharing! Every bit of the manor was perfect. The only thing that was missing was her sister... The wonder-filled smile on her lips fell slightly, and she sighed, walking down the halls a little more absentmindedly. In her daze, she ran into something-- something human-ish. With a little gasp, Anna stumbles back, and nearly trips over herself, but catches herself quickly. "Sorry! Sorry... I didn't mean to hit you! Are you okay? I should've been watching where I was going... but the paintings are so pretty here!" She offers her "new friend" that she bumped into a half smile, and chuckles. "I'm sure my sister would love them too! Do you like the paintings here?"
